How to choose a video production company in Bangalore

Bangalore has hundreds of video production companies. Most of them will show you a great first meeting. The difference shows up in week three, when the edit is late and the person who pitched you has vanished.
We are a production house ourselves, so read this knowing where it comes from. But these are the same five checks we would run if we were hiring one.
1. Ask whose work the showreel actually is
Showreels get borrowed. Freelancers move between companies and their shots travel with them. Ask directly: which of these projects did your current team shoot, and who directed them? A good company answers in specifics. Names, dates, what they owned on the project.
2. Meet the people who will be on your shoot
The founder sells, but a crew delivers. Ask who your director, DOP and editor will be. If the answer is vague, your project will be handed to whoever is free that week. At Denzong we keep this simple: the people in the meeting are the people on set.
3. Get the timeline in writing, with stages
A film is not one deadline, it is five: script lock, shoot date, first cut, revisions, final delivery. A company that gives you one delivery date and no stages has not planned the project. Ask for the stage dates. It takes them ten minutes if they know their process.
4. Ask what a revision means
Unlimited revisions sounds generous and means nothing. It usually hides a slow, reluctant process. Better question: how many revision rounds are included, what counts as a round, and what does an extra round cost? Clear terms protect both sides. We cap revisions and say so upfront, because a film that never locks helps nobody.
5. Check the post-production depth
Anyone can hire a camera. Post is where films are actually made: edit, grade, sound design, music. Ask who does their colour grading and where the music comes from. Licensed library music is normal. Original score is rare. We compose ours in-house, which is unusual for a company our size, and clients hear the difference.
None of this requires technical knowledge. It requires asking specific questions and watching whether the answers are specific back. Vague answers now become vague films later.
